1813 is a health helpline that helps Danes when they need urgent assistance with sickness or injuries. But up to ⅓ of all calls to 1813 aren’t urgent. They are made simply because it’s more convenient to get medical assistance after work hours or on the weekend. But that puts the nurses under pressure and forces those who actually need help to wait longer. So only call an urgent helpline if it’s urgent.
